The Egyptian Space Agency’s Taeko office [Academy of Scientific Research and Technology] signed a cooperation agreement with the IVY Steam International Schools to improve space science and technology adoption in school curricula in Egypt. The CEO of EgSA, Dr Mohamed El-Koosy and the Director of Strategic Planning at IVY Steam, Dr Rania Hafez, were in attendance.

The agreement aims to strengthen the partnership between the Agency and the Egyptian community and sensitise the youth about the importance of space science to sustainable development. Furthermore, it will provide support for student projects in the fields of space science and technology. Through this protocol, IVY students and teachers will enjoy several benefits, including training at EgSA laboratories, support with patent registration, and continuous access to educational satellite “Space Keys”, which is now available at the IVY School campus.

IVY STEM International Schools is the first school in Egypt to receive an exclusive model of Space Keys and its operational program from the EgSA. The Space Keys is intended to be implemented in teaching space science and related curriculum and the implementation of students projects.

The director of the educational satellite project at the EgSA, Dr Mohamed Ibrahim, signed the cooperation agreement with the school’s Chairman, Dr Jamal Hassan and the Director of the Office for Innovation, Transfer and Marketing of Technology (Taeko), Engineer Eman Imam, by proxy.
