South African National Space Agency Signs MoU with European Space Agency
The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Space Agency (ESA), on November 17, 2020.
The MoU was announced by the CEO of SANSA, Dr Valanathan Munsami, via his Twitter page. The agreement was signed over a video call between him and a representative of the ESA.
Announcing the MoU, Dr Munsami tweeted: “Today saw another land mark event for SANSA with the signing of an MoU with ESA. This builds on initiatives that we have been discussing for a while already and which gives effect to these. Thanks Jan for your hand of friendship and making this possible.”
South Africa is currently pursuing a series of partnerships, having just announced a similar arrangement with Brazil.
