Intelsat and MaxIQ Space Expand Africa Space STEM Programme to Four Countries


Intelsat, a leading global satellite operator, and MaxIQ Space, an educational resource provider, are expanding their Africa Space STEM Programme to reach more students across the continent. Now in its fifth year, the initiative will grow to include 12 schools, emphasising in-person learning in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Senegal.
Empowering Students Through Space STEM Education
The programme will integrate space science, sustainability, and IoT education into African classrooms, equipping students with practical STEM skills through:
- Hands-on training with innovative STEM kits
- Expert-led, in-community learning sessions
- Exclusive resources tailored for educators and students
The newly adopted 2025 edition will impact African education systems, ensuring thousands of students gain the skills and inspiration needed to pursue STEM careers. Furthermore, by promoting a future-ready workforce, the programme contributes to national development goals and strengthens Africa’s technological capabilities.
