Djibouti-1A Delivered to Exolaunch
According to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Djibouti, the Djibouti-1A nanosatellite has been delivered to Exolaunch to be integrated into the Exopod NOVA deployer and launched aboard Space X’ Falcon9. The launch is scheduled in October 2023.
Manufactured in the Centre Spatial Universitaire de Montpellier (CSUM) through a capacity development project, the satellite will help the country access country-wide, real-time data from climatological and seismic stations, such as temperature, rainfall, river depth and hydrometry across the country. With the new nanosatellite, policy-makers can have access to relevant high-definition spectral information to enhance Agriculture and better track environmental changes across the country.
According to the same sources, the Djibouti-1B will be delivered in November 2023 for launch in February 2024.
