SpaceOps 2020 Postponed To 2021
The 16th International Conference on Space Operations SpaceOps which was to hold on May 18-22, 2020 at Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC) Cape Town, South Africa has been postponed to 3-7 May 2021. This is due to the ongoing and growing threat posed by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak around the world.
The SpaceOps 2020 organizing committee is saddened to make this announcement, as the team was looking forward to hosting international delegates to this prestigious event on Space Operations. The team apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
In light of all the developments across the globe, out of concern for the health and safety of conference attendees, the organizing committee felt that it was important to postpone the conference as a precautionary measure to ensure the wellbeing of all participants.
Through the continuous monitoring of information from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the South African Health Department and other public health guidance and reports from across the globe, the SpaceOps 2020 Exco has decided to postpone the conference to 3-7 May 2021.
Delegates who have registered for the conference will receive registration refund information via email from SpaceOps 2020 but will need to cancel their hotel and travel reservations themselves. In the coming weeks, the technical program committee will contact delegates who have submitted papers, outlining the next steps to follow regarding their submissions.
The safety and well-being of all those who participate in our conference is vital.
