EgyptSat and Es’hailSat Strengthen Regional Connectivity Through Multi-Year Partnership

EgyptSat has signed a multi-year partnership with Es’hailSat to enhance connectivity services across North Africa, the Middle East, and the broader MENA region, with the Egyptian and Qatari operators announcing a satellite capacity agreement on 31 March.
Under the agreement, EgyptSat will leverage Es’hailSat’s satellite capacity to provide VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) services to its customer base located throughout Egypt and across the broader Middle East and North Africa region. The partnership builds on a collaboration signed last year between the two companies, which sought to leverage their combined satellite services and extensive ground infrastructure to bring the latest technologies in satellite communications and VSAT technologies to regional customers.
Established in 2002, EgyptSat specialises in VSAT services, broadband internet, VoIP, and SCADA systems, serving critical sectors including marine, banking, and transportation. The company operates its own teleport and VSAT hubs in Egypt, providing technical infrastructure that complements Es’hailSat’s orbital assets.
Regional Connectivity and Resilience
Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari, President and CEO of Es’hailSat, noted that, as the satellite operator of choice for commercial, government, and defence customers across Qatar and the Middle East and North Africa region, the company’s satellite services remain available to deliver resilient, secure connectivity. He welcomed the growth in the partnership with EgyptSat and highlighted the company’s continued expansion of its VSAT and managed service portfolio for key regional customers.
The multi-year commitment reflects growing demand for reliable satellite connectivity solutions across the MENA region, particularly in sectors requiring secure, always-available communications infrastructure. As terrestrial networks face capacity constraints and geographic limitations, satellite-based VSAT services provide crucial backup and primary connectivity options for enterprises operating across vast desert, maritime, and remote territories characteristic of the region.
The partnership positions both companies to capture increasing demand for satellite services driven by digital transformation initiatives, government modernisation programmes, and expanding commercial activities throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
