On the sidelines of the 2025 NewSpace Africa Conference in Cairo, Egypt, the SatNav Africa Joint Programme Office (JPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tunisian-based African Association for Geospatial Development (AGEOS). The agreement establishes a cooperative framework to promote innovation and support the development of business clusters in the fields of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS), and space applications across Africa.

Through the established cooperation framework, both parties have committed to jointly promoting GNSS research and innovation uptake and adoption. Local capacity building in GNSS also remains a central priority within this framework. Moreover, the collaboration is aligned with the African Space Policy and Strategy and broader continental priorities, such as the recently launched Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme, which was unveiled during the conference. The partnership further aims to promote entrepreneurship and raise technological awareness, focusing on empowering youth and women across Africa.
