Intelsat Records USD 120.8 Million In H1 Revenue From Africa And The Middle East
Luxembourg-based global satellite operator Intelsat recorded USD 120.8 million in revenue from sales of its satellite services in Africa and the Middle East in the six months ended 30 June 2020; about 2.7% decrease from its USD 124.1 million earnings recorded from the region in the first half of 2019.
Intelsat’s total revenue across all geographical markets during the first six months of 2020 decreased by USD 97 million to USD 940.9 million, a 9.3% decline compared to its total earnings in H1 2019.
However, the percentage of the company’s revenue from MEA, compared to other geographical markets, increased to 13% in H1 2020 from the 12% recorded in H1 2019.
For Q2 2020, Intelsat recorded USD 58.9 million in revenue from sales of its satellite services in Africa and the Middle East in the three months ended 30 June 2020; a 4.5% decrease from its USD 61.7 million earnings from the regions in Q2 2019.
