Plan To Attend The 13th African Association Of Remote Sense Of The Environment Conference In Kigali In 2020
The 13th African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment International Conference, AARSE 2020 themed: “Space and Geospatial Technologies for Africa”, will hold in Kigali, Rwanda, from 26-30th October 2020.
The conference said to be the major gathering in Africa for the global societies for Earth observation and geo-spatial information science, will be co-organised by the African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (AARSE) and the University in Ruhengeri, Rwanda.
The 12th AARSE International Conference, AARSE 2018, Earth Observations and Geospatial Science in service of Sustainable Development Goals was held in Alexandria, Egypt, at the Arab Academy of Science and Technology from 25-29th of October 2018 and had speakers from universities, national ministries and space agencies. Programmes featured at the events included plenary discussion, exhibitions, cloud computing workshops and technicals sessions.
The event’s organising committee is headed by Dr Fr. Fabien Hagenimana, the research committee by Dr Francois Niyonzima Niyongabo, and will feature 15 workshops, plenary discussions, tourism, and others.
The five-day summit will include 25 speakers, who are experts and practitioners in space and geospatial technologies, and other related fields, from all around the world. The AARSE international conference is conducted biennially across Africa, alternately with the AfricaGIS conference, and is the premier forum in Africa for research on remote sensing technologies and geospatial information science, gathering leading scholars from the remote sensing and related communities.
