Eutelsat has announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with Télédiffusion d’Algérie (TDA), Algeria’s national broadcasting network operator. The agreement covers the continued distribution of television channels across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) via the EUTELSAT 7 West A satellite.

Under the renewed agreement, TDA will continue to use Eutelsat’s satellite capacity at the 7/8° West orbital position to deliver Algerian television channels to audiences across the region. The 7/8° West position reaches 70 million homes and is the leading orbital position for satellite television in MENA, hosting major public and private broadcasters alongside a large portfolio of Arabic and international content.

The renewal extends a long-standing collaboration between the two organisations and secures the long-term continuity of TDA’s satellite broadcasting services. As the single broadcaster in the Algerian market, TDA plays a central role in delivering the country’s television channels to viewers in Algeria and across the region. According to Eutelsat, its coverage across MENA provides TDA with the reach, reliability, and broadcast quality needed to connect Algerian content with the region’s largest TV audience in the region.

Commenting on the renewal, Sandy Saade, Sales Director MENA at Eutelsat, said: “TDA is a strategic partner for Eutelsat in Algeria, and this renewal reflects the strength of a relationship built over many years. We are proud to keep supporting the distribution of Algerian television to audiences across MENA from 7/8° West, the region’s reference position for satellite TV.”
