Infinite Orbits Selects Simera Sense to Supply Payload for Orbit Guard™ SSA Mission
Infinite Orbits has selected Simera Sense to supply an optical payload for its upcoming Orbit Guard™ mission, part of the CNES-led France 2030 programme. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing European space-based Space Situational Awareness (SSA) capabilities.
Under the agreement, Simera Sense will provide one of its commercial off-the-shelf optical payloads as a complementary subsystem to Infinite Orbits’ in-orbit services platform. The mission, which integrates in-situ surveillance sensors, represents a major step forward in developing innovative SmallSat-based SSA solutions.
Furthermore, the optical payload, part of Simera Sense’s established product portfolio, will deliver Non-Earth Imaging (NEI) in the visible spectrum, an essential capability for tracking and monitoring objects in orbit. Simera Sense’s xScape series, which includes the xScape50 (1U, 30m resolution), xScape100 (1.5U, 4.75m resolution), and xScape200 (12U, 1.5m resolution), has already proven its performance in satellite-based observation applications.
