SpaceX’s Starlink Licensed in Ghana

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has approved SpaceX’s Starlink GH LTD, the operator of Starlink Satellite Broadband, to provide satellite broadband services in Ghana.

This approval for Starlink comes after the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation endorsed the Satellite Licensing Framework in Ghana. The necessary administrative procedures for issuing the license are underway and expected to conclude soon.

With this decision, Ghana joins a growing list of African countries benefiting from Starlink’s advanced, high-speed internet solutions. This list includes Benin, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Zambia. This development marks a significant stride in Ghana’s efforts to strengthen its digital economy and connect its citizens to the global digital landscape.
