EUSI Collaborate with Umbra to Offer SAR Imagery Services to Users in Africa and Europe

European Space Imaging (EUSI), a Very High Resolution (VHR) optical satellite imagery provider, has announced its strategic collaboration with Umbra to allow its customers to procure Umbra’s top-tier Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data seamlessly through EUSI’s platform.
This collaboration significantly benefits remote sensing data users across Europe and North Africa. They can now access the world’s most exceptional space-based optical and SAR imagery, boasting resolutions of 30 cm and 25 cm all from a single, local source. EUSI has now secured a distinctive position in the market, enabling seamless coordination of SAR and optical tasking to ensure uninterrupted data acquisitions regardless of weather conditions, thus ensuring the continuity of monitoring requests.
Within the framework of this partnership, EUSI will oversee the tasking and distribution of SAR imagery to its clientele by harnessing Umbra’s advanced satellite constellation and tasking platform. Umbra, currently operating six satellites, has ambitious plans to introduce additional satellites into its constellation during the 2023 and 2024 timeframe. These satellites are highly regarded for their remarkable agility, enabling efficient data collection across multiple modes. They can deliver SAR imagery, encompassing single and multi-look data, with resolutions ranging from an industry-leading and unparalleled 16 cm in the ground plane to 1 m for broader-area monitoring applications.
