Angolan National Air Force Test Launch CanSats Constructed by Representatives from Public and Private Universities in Angola
According to the press release by the National Space Programme Management Office (GGPEN), the National Air Force (FAN) helicopter launch test the small satellites (CanSats) built by 30 representatives from public and private universities in Angola. These CanSats were constructed as part of the third edition of a five weeks course on the design, construction, and launching of Cansats as part of the Angola ICT 2023 event launched by GGPEN, with sponsorship from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTTICS).

The five-week course/training, which takes place at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of the University of Luanda, focuses on the design, construction, and launching of Cansats aimed to provide trainees with knowledge about the functions, architecture and integration of subsystems that make up a satellite to boost aerospace science and technology in Angola. After completing the five-week training, the CanSats will officially launch on 14 June 2023 at 9:30 am (GMT+1) at the Escola de Formation of Special Forces (Commandos), Cabo Ledo.
