NIGCOMSAT Collaborates with NNPC’s Subsidiary, NAPET, to Provide Satellite Services and Solutions

The Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd., NIGCOMSAT, and the National Petroleum Telecommunications Limited (NAPET), a Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) division, have announced their partnership on the provision of satellite services on monitoring its sensitive equipment and services.

On the sidelines of the strategic visit to NAPET,  the Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT, Tukur Mohammed Lawal, accompanied by a team of NIGCOMSAT delegates, while commending the contributions of NNPC to fostering the socioeconomic prosperity of Nigeria, highlighted its capacity and human resources to provide the necessary satellite solutions NAPET and NNPC. In addition, according to Dr Adamu Idri, the General Manager of Corporate Affairs and Special Projects NIGCOMSAT, the partnership ensures the company continuously supports its business enterprise and the Nigerian economy growth. 

Furthermore, the Managing Director of NAPET, Sanusi Yerima, expressed confidence in the ability of the strategic alliance to improve NNPC infrastructure.

“We are hitting the ground running, and I do not believe in low-hanging fruit. We can do business globally and make a profit, as seen in the ongoing Kogi, Kaduna and Abuja (KKA) pipeline project through the services of NIGCOMSAT. We are also impressed with NIGCOMSAT’s ‘on the move vehicle’, an infrastructure that provides services in remote areas, in the air and the sea, through satellite services. Therefore we have confidence that we can do business together, and this partnership is strategic and a welcome development,” he added.
