  • The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has renewed its partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to advance space geodesy and geohazard research.

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to to advance Space Geodesy and Geohazard Research at the Centre for Geodesy and Geodynamics (CGG) in Toro, Bauchi State, Nigeria.

This renewed commitment signifies NASRDA’s commitment to strengthening the relationship with NASA and support the agency’s strategy to mitigate geohazards in Nigeria and beyond. In addition, the partnership will deepen Nigeria’s relationship with the United States of America.

Furthermore, the renewed partnership will build capacity and encourage knowledge transfer, equipping NASRDA with essential training and expertise in space geodesy, crucial for monitoring Nigeria’s tectonic activity and crustal movements. NASRDA actively seeks mutually beneficial partnerships and is confident that its data collection and analysis will greatly benefit NASA’s global programmes.
