NIGCOMSAT and Dimension Data Seal One-Year Internet Service Agreement

In a press release, NIGCOMSAT and Dimension Data announced their partnership agreement. Nigerian Communication Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd, a leading satellite communication company, and Dimension Data, a prominent IT solutions and internet service provider, formalised the agreement with Mrs Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, and Mr Olugbenga Olabiyi, Country Director of Dimension Data.

Under the partnership agreement, NIGCOMSAT will provide Dimension Data with internet service on the NigComSat-1R network platform for one year, utilising the Ku dedicated band. Mrs Egerton-Idehen emphasised that NIGCOMSAT has upgraded its facilities to cutting-edge technology, ensuring the highest quality services for its clients.

Furthermore, she affirmed NIGCOMSAT’s competitive stance in the global satellite market, stating, “Though we are in the market now, we are not late, and I can assure you that we are there for business”.

“We just finished a pilot scheme with this client and signed a Master Service Agreement. NIGCOMSAT is glad that the Country Director, Gbenga Olabiyi and his team were happy with the results of our pilot. We shared all our work to reposition Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd, ensuring that our service delivery is excellent, our infrastructure reliable, and our technology continuous”.
