NIGCOMSAT, HOTSPOT Partner to Provide Internet Connectivity to Rural and Underserved Communities

NIGCOMSAT, HOTSPOT Partner to Provide Internet Connectivity to Rural and Underserved Communities
- NIGCOMSAT has partnered with Hotspot to expand internet accessibility for more communities across Nigeria.
- The first phase will launch in select rural areas within the next six months.
In a news report released by the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, the satellite internet provider announced a partnership with Hotspot, which specialises in rural connectivity solutions. The partnership marks a significant step towards expanding internet accessibility, ensuring that more communities can benefit from reliable, high-speed internet services in Nigeria.
Empowering Rural Communities Through Strategic Partnership
The joint initiative between NIGCOMSAT and Hotspot will kick off immediately, with the first phase launching in select rural areas within the next six months.This initiative in partnership with Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), will leverage the NigComSat-1R Ka-Band platform to deliver enhanced rural connectivity. Both companies pledge to use their combined expertise to bridge the digital divide and deliver reliable, high-speed internet services to underserved communities.

So far, Hotspot has proposed targeting a significant number of rural communities across Nigeria with the service.
