Job Description:

Through the Space in Africa Internship Programme, we are looking to hire six analyst-interns to work closely with various departments within SiA to analyse trends and developments and help drive an understanding of key market policies and programmes in the African space industry. 

 

Analyst-Interns at Space in Africa will shadow Analysts in conducting market analysis, gather data for consulting and advisory projects and industry reports, and write news articles. We welcome sel-driven individuals who have excellent work ethics and communication skills. This is an internship-for-hire position, with top-performing interns expected to join the company for full-time roles.

 

Internship Duration

The internship programme runs for four months per cohort three times a year. Applications for internships are received throughout the year. The programme accommodates a limited number of candidates in each cohort, and we will only communicate with the short-listed candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and produce engaging, well-written content on the African space industry for publication;
  2. Contribute to market research and intelligence reports on the African space and satellite industry;

  • 0-2 years of professional experience as a business analyst, financial analyst, technical writer, or in a related role;

Internship commencement

Once accepted, successful candidates will have two weeks to accept the conditional offer from the company, after which it will expire. Interns are expected to start their internship on the specified date. The internship program is fully virtual, so selected interns must have access to a working personal computer and internet.

Upon commencement, interns will undergo the company’s standard onboarding process and then be assigned to their designated teams by the program coordinator, who will also assign a mentor to each intern for the duration of the internship.

At the end of the internship, candidates will go through an evaluation process and submit a report detailing what they have gained from the internship and how they plan to use this knowledge to contribute to the growth of the African space industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop PR plans aimed at maximizing markets and client-facing campaigns and ensure that our PR strategy reflects our company strategy and vision, and achieves our goals which aligns with the clients key themes, campaigns and thought leadership 
  • Social media management and growth
  • Provide innovative and impactful communications tactics and activities for delivery across multiple external audiences, via appropriate digital channels and platforms 
  • Organise and manage company events, conferences, webinars and meetings and manage logistics and communications with event vendors and service providers,

Space in Africa is Hiring a Content Creator

We are looking for a creative and talented content creator on a temporary contract to create engaging content, videos, GIFs, social media posts, and various marketing resources and media content promoting the NewSpace Africa Conference 2025.

The successful candidate must have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for events. They need to be passionate about storytelling and digital marketing. Ultimately, they will help us reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about the conference The role is a 3-month contract (February – April 2025) with the possibility of becoming permanent. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute engaging content across multiple platforms (social media, website, email, etc.) to promote the NewSpace Africa Conference 2025.
  • Create promotional videos, graphics, and written content highlighting conference themes, speakers, events, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Conceptualise and produce various video content, including short promotional clips, interviews with stakeholders, and event highlights.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to align content with overall promotional strategies.
  • Monitor content performance and adapt strategies to maximise reach and engagement.
